Platform for Internship Abroad

In 2023, we created pasantía.mx, an integrated platform for university students and graduates across Mexico where they can find internship opportunities in companies located in the United States through a cultural visa that will allow them to live and intern in this foreign country. Currently, this site is available and fully operational, and we continuously improve it for all those who decide to venture abroad to achieve their professional aspirations.

At this time, our program is only active in the United States for students in Mexico seeking growth opportunities outside the country. However, we hope that other companies from different parts of the world will place their trust in our project and join us, with the aim of offering a wide portfolio of options to Mexican graduates, allowing them to choose their internship destination based on their cultural interests and the area of professional growth they wish to pursue.

The pasantía.mx platform consists of five forms that any student interested in pursuing an internship abroad must fill out. The process is lengthy; however, this platform saves our recruiters a lot of time and somewhat accelerates the process of arranging an internship abroad. Gathering documentation, applying to companies for internships, and even scheduling consulate appointments can take several months, so the applicant must have the determination to complete the forms and the patience to obtain their internship, as the process can be exhausting. Nevertheless, the reward for those who successfully complete this process is invaluable for their personal and professional development. At SARAM HR, we believe it can truly change lives.

Challenges

Although the internship program is currently active in its first version, we fervently wish for its benefits to reach more people, not just from Mexico but also from Latin American countries and other continents. Therefore, we are putting all our efforts into growing this program to achieve the widest possible reach by partnering with companies around the globe. To this end, we aim to follow a series of steps that we hope will lead to the successful culmination of this program:

• Provide an intuitive and user-friendly platform where students and graduates can search for internships abroad corresponding to their careers. Although pasantía.mx is open to the public, we aim to improve usability and user experience for the comfort of our users.
• Establish relationships and cooperation agreements with Technological Institutes (IT), Technological Universities (UT), and Polytechnic Universities (UP) at the national level to facilitate compliance with each academic requirement.
• Form partnerships with companies in the United States, South Korea, and other countries that demand labor to consistently provide medium- and long-term interns through our Human Resources staff.
• Create a semi-automated application platform where young adults can apply repeatedly and without restrictions until they find the perfect opportunity for them.
• Integrate a visa application platform that will also be developed soon.
